Emerging Technologies

Quote:
"Video games provide the learner with real environment that gives the students chance to stimulate what they want to learn."
Opinion:
Now, there are many examples of using the video games in school. According to BBC News many educators do not use video games in learning. They think this kind of technology is only for fun and does not benefit their children. This point of view is wrong. According to many researchers, children can learn more effectively when they play video games than when they read books." Video games are not just a leisure activity,  but a learning style to many people. Even though some people may benefit more off of reading books, because they are visual learners, other people learn near to experience it in "live action", so to speak. Meaning, that if they are seeing, hearing, and actually doing what is required, they will learn more because of their interest in it, instead of just pushing the subject aside if it were reading material. Another example is in the military school, the advancement of computer and video games has evolved enough that they are looked as competent training simulations for soldiers. Educational technologists work with researchers at these production companies to create interactive training technologies to immerse soldiers in realistic situations that actually provide the sounds and sensations of battle.Today, video games can help many students with their learning styles.
